Author Herb Crehan “Boston Baseball History” Lecture
Herb Crehan is a Boston baseball historian who has written over 125 feature articles for the official program of the Boston Red Sox during his 21 seasons with the club. He is the author of three books, LIGHTNING IN A BOTTLE: The Sox of ’67, Red Sox Heroes of Yesteryear, and The Impossible Dream 1967 Red Sox: Birth of Red Sox Nation. Crehan speaks extensively on Boston baseball history including appearances at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, NPR’s “All Things Considered,” WBZ radio, and numerous Society of Baseball Research (SABR) meetings throughout New England. Mark your calendars to welcome Herb to Southgate! Books will be available to residents.

Trip to Boston Symphony Orchestra Open Rehearsal
Soprano Kristine Opolais returns as soloist in Mahler’s Symphony No. 4. On this same program, Norwegian pianist Leif Ove Andsnes performs Rachmaninoff’s last piano concerto, and opening the concert is a suite of orchestral music from Shostakovich’s score for Grigory Kozintsev’s 1941 stage production of Shakespeare’s King Lear, to be recorded for the BSO’s ongoing Shostakovich

Mauri has been teaching for 20+ years in the metrowest area.
