Southgate Summer Concert Series “The Wolverine Jazz Band”
John Clark and his 7-piece band bring us the best of jazz sprinkled with some Dixieland and a hint of swing to open our summer concert series. Since 1995 they have been featured frequently at the historic Sherborn Inn and are regulars at Worcester’s Mechanic’s Hall. Along with snazzy brass and sultry reeds, Jimmy Mazzy provides banjo riffs and vocals to round out the evening of finger-snapping, toe-tapping melodies. Traditional jazz never sounded better.
