Southgate at Shrewsbury is proud to welcome the Square One Players’ production of “Steel Magnolias” to our very own Flanagan Theater this March. Performances took place on March 16th and 17th, with upcoming performances set to occur on March 23rd and 24th. The Flannagan Theater hosts a variety of events all year long, from lecture series’ to music performances to live theatre.
Residents, visitors, and any other interested parties are encouraged to come by and see the play, which was also turned into a movie starring Julia Roberts and Dolly Parton back in 1989. The production tells the story of a deeply bonded group of women in a small town. Within their close-knit circle, a tragic event brings them together as they grapple with the beauty and fragility of life.
