The Southgate’s Residents Council serves as a liaison between the residents and management/ownership in striving to make the community the best it can be. It is my privilege as a Council member to share my past professional and personal experience in this collaboration to enhance the lifestyle of all residents.
“I have worked at the state level on issues affecting residents of Continuing Care Retirement Communities. At Southgate, I began as a resident in Assisted Living and then transitioned to Independent Living. I served a term on the Southgate Residents’ Council a few years ago. I know that the Council can be an effective liaison between residents and management. I welcome this new opportunity to bring topics of common interest to the table.”

“As a member of the Residents’ Council, I am able to facilitate communication between Residents and management. Living here at Southgate has given me the opportunity to become an active citizen in our vibrant community. This is my home, and I love it!”
“The Resident Council is an important vehicle to ensure that the residents and the management of Southgate are working together to make the facility, the meals, the entertainment, the activities, and the lifestyle at Southgate to be the very best it can be for the residents of Southgate. I am happy to lend my expertise, experience, and time to further this mutual collaboration.”

“Having lived at other senior living facilities before moving to Southgate, my wife and I are pleased to have found such a well-run and welcoming community in which to live. Southgate is simply better organized than the other places. Being on the Resident Council will offer me an opportunity to share my previous experiences for the benefit of the Southgate community and to help Southgate function in the best possible way.”
