Women’s Circle: "Climate Change in New England"
“Climate Change in New England” is the topic for our Women’s Circle Breakfast with speaker Chuck Arning, an Inter- pretive Park Ranger and A/V Specialist for the Na- tional Park Service in the Blackstone River Val- ley. Ranger Arning will discuss the significance of the impact of our changing climate on New Eng- land and the inter-relationships between our changing climate and our immediate environ- ment. Life and economic activity across New Eng- land are marked by the seasons–maple sugaring in the Spring, trips to the beach in the Summer, the riot of color in the Fall foliage, and the swoosh of skis and skates in the Winter. This familiar cy- cle is already changing in noticeable ways. Rang- er Arning has produced over 100 television videos focusing on history and culture, preservation, and oral histories of Blackstone Valley residents. He produces, writes, and hosts “Along the Black- stone,” which has aired on the History Channel.
