Violinist Emil Altschuler
Acclaimed violinist Emil Altschuler is a master of his instrument who performs with incredible technique, magnificent expression and a profound artistry across a wide-ranging repertoire. He received his Bachelor of Music from The Juilliard School, and his Masters of Music from The Yale School of Music, studying under Erick Friedman. His brilliant technique and vigorous performances received energetic ovations in venues such as Lincoln Center, San Francisco’s Helen Von Ammon’s Emerging Artist Series, The Aspen Music Festival, and Italy’s Castello di Galeazza. As a featured soloist, he has appeared with the Aspen Young Artist’s Orchestra, Parkway Concert Orchestra and Harvard Summer School Orchestra. Emil maintains an active career as a soloist and performs regularly with pianist Thomas Pandolfi.

Men’s Breakfast Club
Following our delicious breakfast buffet, we welcome Armand J. Courchaine. Born in Fall River, MA, Armand is a life long fly tyer, fly fisherman, photographer and instructor. He is a life member of United Fly Tyers, Rhody Fly Rodders and founder of Crossroads Anglers. He has written numerous articles for magazines such as On the Water and New England Fisherman. He also penned a column from 1980-1996 entitled “Fishing Time” for Somerset Spectator—a weekly newspaper. In 1997 he received the prestigious “Lifetime Achievement Award” by United Fly Tyers and Federation of Fly Fishers. Armand’s Fly Patterns have appeared in several publications including Angelo Peluso’s Saltwater Flies of the Northeast and Dick Surettes’ Fly Tyer. In Nov. of 2013, Armand completed his first book entitled “Bugs over Bass”. All are welcome to the lecture at approximately 9:30 am.
