Women’s Circle
Our speaker for the March 14 Women’s Circle Breakfast is Ben Railton, Professor and Coordinator of American Studies at Fitchburg State University. He has been at FSU for 13 years and has taught numerous courses in American Literature and Studies at both the undergraduate and gradu- ate level. Ben is the author of four books, the most recent being “History and Hope in American Literature: Models of Critical Patriotism,” published in 2016. For the past seven years he has written the daily American Studier blog and has also contributed scholarly writing to Talking Points Memo, We’re History, the American Prospect, and many other sites.

“Drink & Draw” w/ Shrewsbury Art Guild
Shrewsbury Art Guild is hosting a “socialize and sketching session” with residents at Southgate. People can pose, sketch, or just have a glass of wine and watch. Members of the Artist Guild of Shrewsbury will be on hand to draw anyone willing to sit for them! They will also bring paper and sketching materials, as well as guidance, for anyone who wants to try their hand at sketching others.
