We begin a new Sunday series with the award winning British drama “Sherlock” starring Benedict Cumberbatch. This modern update of the classic finds the famous sleuth and his doctor partner solving crime in 21st century London.

When they were in high school together, Rich Araldi and Jim Pappas spent every moment they could find playing music. Jim has enjoyed great success from being music director at the most prestigious venues in Atlantic City to movies and tours, to his current position as music director for the legendary Smokey Robinson! Rich’s accomplishments, while seemingly more modest, have been exactly the right fit. A life of service through music has seen Rich, after a stint as a touring musician, as a church music director over the past three decades, a music educator, and over the past thirty years serving the senior community through music at a robust pace. Rich’s non-profit organization “Sammy 16” provides music for those without the means to access it. This October, after a hiatus of over forty years, Jim and Rich will be playing together once again, “for the first time!”

WINSLOW HOMER. He got his start by illustrating scenes from the Civil War for Harper’s Magazine. He documented post war, rural Americana and later dramatically explored man’s relationship to nature. He was one of the greatest watercolor painters and was profoundly influential. Join us for an up-close look at the work of one of America’s most beloved painters.
