Following our scrumptious breakfast buffet, we welcome Bill Ballou with a tribute to Candlepin Bowling! Bill has been on a quest to explore Massachusetts and its candlepin bowling alleys, some 75 in all including commercial and private ones. In Bill’s words, “ There are far fewer bowlers now than two generations ago, but the remaining ones are passionate about the sport and welcoming to others who embrace it. It was a great winter project, one that was at the top of my post retirement list. I love exploring Massachusetts and I love to bowl. This gave me a chance to do both, plus connect with friends throughout the state and re-introduce them to the game that was invented in Worcester.” Bill is a sportswriter for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette.
