Men’s Breakfast Club
Following our delicious breakfast buffet, Animal Control Officer for the police department of Shrewsbury, Leona Pease, will be talking to us about the workings of this branch of town government. She has been with the dept. since 2002 and specializes in feral cat trap neuter and return (TNR) in Worcester County. All are welcome to join us for the presentation.

The Rockin’ Chairs
The Rockin’ Chairs is a show band that offers a unique and delightful fun experience to audiences. To describe what they are, it’s important to tell you what they are not. In their words, they are “not a young, hard-rockin’, heavy metal, head banging, grunge, cutting edge, screamingly loud bunch of musicians.” The Rockin’ Chairs are ‘mature’ guys who got together in 2017 to create an entertaining show that included playing the best rock & roll hits of the 1950’s combining these songs with humor and stories about the music business. They make their Southgate debut tonight!

WISE Program
“Amphibious Warfare Through the Centuries” taught by Dr. John Ferriss. This course will review amphibious landings from the Greeks and the Romans to the Korean War. Dr. John Ferriss retired from a career in academic rheumatology in 2001. He subsequently earned a Master’s degree in Military History from Norwich University in Vermont. Southgate Residents are admitted to the class free of charge.

Homage to the Outdoors
Join us as we say goodbye to summer and welcome the autumn months ahead! Lunch will be provided as we spend the afternoon enjoying the Southgate Park and participating in a variety of outdoor activities and lawn games such as bocce, horseshoes, cornhole and more! All residents are invited to attend this outdoor cookout and reservations must be made with Kim in the convenience store. We look forward to seeing you there!
