Gary Hylander Lecture “An American Sampler: Secretaries of State”
Gary continues
the series with John Hay. Hay served as Secretary of State to two presidents: William McKinley and Theodore Roosevelt. During his tenure, he addressed the diplomatic and territorial issues that surfaced after the Spanish-American War as well as acquiring the Panama Canal Zone.
