As summertime winds down, we at Southgate like to welcome fall with style. Each year, our exquisite dining services staff serves up a Sunday Lobster Bake feast in the Gazebo park exclusively for Southgate residents! Be sure to make your reservations with Kim at the convenience store!

This vintage swing and jump band returns to Southgate for your post dinner entertainment with Ann Souza, Jeff Giacomelli on sax, Jim Heffernan on piano, Dan Hunt on guitar and Gail Hunt on bass. The Riders beat will bring you on your feet. Don’t miss it!

Following our scrumptious breakfast buffet, we welcome historian and author John O’Toole. John is a retired adjunct Professor of History from Worcester State College and is a group leader for the WISE program. He also spent many years teaching high school in the MA area. He holds a masters degree in History from Northeastern University in Boston. John is the author of several books including “Tornado: 84 Minutes, 94 Lives” which describes the devastating Central MA tornado of 1953 and is the topic of his lecture this morning. He is the recipient of many awards and honors on the national and international level. All are welcome to join us for the presentation at 9:30 am.

We travel via a Knight’s Limo motorcoach with the Briarwood Community to the Newport Mansions in Newport RI. Following our tour of “The Breakers” we will lunch at “Johnnys at the Atlantic Resort”. After lunch we will tour “The Elms”. Previous registration required.
