Classical Pianist Fred Moyer
During over thirty years as a full‐time concert pianist, Frederick Moyer has established a vital musical career that has taken him to forty‐three countries and to such far‐flung venues as Suntory Hall in Tokyo, Sydney Opera House, Windsor Castle, Carnegie Hall, and the Kennedy Center. He has appeared as piano soloist with most of the major orchestras of the United States as well as many orchestras of Europe, Asia, South America, Africa and Australia. We are always delighted when Fred’s vigorous touring schedule enables him to stop by Southgate for an afternoon of musical magnificence.

Michael Perry with Dreams Unlimited Two Great New England Ports!
Yes, there are some great cities north of Boston! And two of them have beautiful ports!! Portland, Maine and Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Michael Perry, from Freeport, Maine explores the beauty and history of Maine’s largest city with beautiful photos from the shores of Casco Bay to the heights of the Western Prom. Then we will travel down to Portsmouth at the mouth of the Piscataqua River to explore the colorful flower gardens of Prescott Park and the gardens of the Moffatt-Ladd House. Join us for inspiring photos mixed with Michael’s warmth and humor, fascinating history, local lore, and zany trivia.

“The New Black Eagle Jazz Band”
If you like the uplifting and soulful music of New Orleans you’ll love the sound of the New Black Eagle Jazz Band. The band has delighted audiences all over the world with their huge and eclectic repertoire of jazz from the 1920’s and 30’s. The group has a mature mastery of this great American music- from Louis Armstrong and Jelly Roll Morton to early Duke Ellington to Cole Porter; from blues to rags to gospel and popular songs of the era. 2018 Anniversary Show Meeting
August 5th, 1957 was a turning point for television, rock ‘n roll and teenagers when the popular Philadelphia based ‘dance-party’ show “American Bandstand” hit the national air waves! From 1956 to 1989, host Dick Clark introduced new musical acts to generations of Americans. Travel back in time with us and be a part of this year’s anniversary celebration in Nov. as we re-create the early years of this influential piece of television history with a special ‘twist’! This unique edition of Bandstand features interviews with a variety of television personalities from ‘the golden age’. Come find out what it’s all about today in the lounge. We’re goin’ hoppin’!

Southgate hosts an opening reception for Regatta’s summer musical open to the public. Additional open to the public ticketed performances include: Sat. Aug 4th, Fri. Aug. 10th & Sat. Aug. 11th at 7:30 pm. Sun. Aug. 5th & Sun. Aug. 12th at 2:00 pm. Tickets may be obtained by calling 508-925-0583 or at the door. Please note: The resident’s only show is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 2nd at 7:30 pm free of charge to the Southgate community. All other performances require a ticket.
